Engineering can be defined as a science of Technology. As the Technologies are progressing new streams of Engineering are coming up. This can be seen today as galore of fields of engineering like Biotechnology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Biochemical, Food technology, Leather technology etc. are also there in comparison to previous day’s when only few core engineering fields like Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil etc. were there. These fields of Engineering have developed with the time to meet the demands of the society.

Various colleges throughout the world are training there students in these fields of Engineering. India is also not behind. India has some of the world famous engineering colleges which include IIT’s, some NIT’s and some other private as well as government colleges. Engineering colleges are present throughout the length and breadth of India. These institutes offer Undergraduate as well as post graduate courses.

All these colleges have their own system of selection procedure like JEE i.e. Joint Entrance Examination is conducted for admission into Indian Institute of Technology’s; AIEEE is conducted for admission into NIT’s and many other private colleges, WBJEE is conducted for admission into engineering colleges in West Bengal etc. Though the exams may be different, the eventual selection parameter is always the same; you would have to come up with flying colors in the respective entrance exams.
