They look after the management of the medical staff, planning and control, strategic management, management and research in health care, community health and epidemiology and demography and biostatics. They should have a strong decision making capability along with the planning for the future development of the Hospital.

The admission into any of these colleges is based on entrance exam which is conducted by the individual institutes or through a central entrance exam. The entrance exam is followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the candidates selected in the entrance exam.
