Architecture And Construction Engineering Entrance Exam

As the name suggests Architecture and Construction engineering deals with the study of Architecture and Construction. The basic subjects include design, arts and crafts, humanities, engineering and technology. The focus of the study is to develop awareness of the cultural, environmental and technical factors that determines the architectural problem’s limits.

An entrance examination is conducted to test the candidate’s comprehension, IQ and sketching abilities. The candidates who are appearing for the entrance exam must have passed or appeared for the class 12 exam with Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and English as their main subjects. The candidates must also score a minimum of 60% marks in their +2 exam in order to avail admission. The top colleges in Delhi and Ahmedabad give 30% Weightage to +2 results and the rest 70% to the entrance exam.

Some colleges conducts examination in two stages: Test 1 test the general knowledge, IQ and Scholastic Performance of the candidates and Test 2 tests spatial and visual perception, aesthetic sensitivity and creative writing (for B.Arch) and tests comprehensive ability and ability to write on environment awareness, human habitation and society.
