Biochemistry Entrance Exam

Biochemistry deals with the study of chemical processes which takes place in living organisms. It also deals with the arrangement and function of the cellular components like carbohydrates, fats, nucleic acids, proteins, and other biomolecules. The study of the chemical properties of biomolecules, especially enzyme-catalyzed raection’s chemistry comes under Biochemistry. Cell metabolism Biochemistry and Biochemistry of the endocrine system are described extensively. Biochemistry’s other areas include protein synthesis, signal transduction, genetic code (RNA, DNA) and cell membrane transport.

The candidates who want to study Biochemistry have to appear for the entrance exams which are conducted by the several institutes which offer this course. Entrance exam is completely based on the class 12 syllabus and consists of questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Some colleges also take personal interview of the candidates selected in the entrance exam. Seats are allotted to the students based on the marks scored by them in the entrance exam. Colleges also have reserved quotas for the SC/St and OBC candidates.
