Biotechnology Entrance Exam

Biotechnology as the name suggests is the amalgamation of Biology with Technology. Biotechnology covers a wide range of subjects including genetics, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Virology etc. and is concerned with the other fields like Health and Medicine, Bio-statistics, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Ecology, Crop Management and Cropping System, Seed Technology etc. this clearly indicates that this particular field really has a deep reach.

In the last five decades or so we have witnessed a tremendous growth in this field throughout the Globe and without any hesitation we can say that this trend will continue or we will see a better growth trend. India is also not behind in this field and for the better development of Biotechnology in India the Science and Technology Ministry set up a department of Biotechnology (DBT) in the year 1986. DBT has also hinted that a new regulatory body under the name of ‘All- India Board of Biotechnology Education and Training’ would be set up for the maintenance of a standard education in Biotechnology throughout the length and breadth of India.

There is no dearth of job options in Biotechnology field and this is the reason why so many students are opting for this field. There are many colleges which are providing Biotechnology course to the aspirants, but the only barrier they have to overcome is the entrance exams which are conducted by these colleges.

    m a foreign student doing ma final year bsc biotechnology in tamil nadu.i want to know weder i am eligible to write the entrance examination for msc biotechnology or related courses once i finish ma degree.what are the facilities available to do a part time msc course where u can work and study?what are the best field to do research now?
