Electrical Engineering Entrance Exam

Electrical Engineering is also known as Electrical and Electronic engineering. Electrical Engineering is the discipline of Engineering which involves the study electronics, electricity and electromagnetism and their application in various spheres of life. In the later half of the 19th century when electric power supply and electric telegraph were commercialized, electrical engineering became a special occupation. Nowadays Electrical Engineering covers various subtopics including control systems, power systems, signal processing, power electronics and telecommunication.

Electrical Engineers have tremendous contribution in the development of various technologies from electric power generation to Global Positioning System. Their task is to design, then develop, then test and then supervise the operation of electronic devices and electrical systems. Their work includes deployment of electric power systems, designing of telecommunication systems, wiring and lightning of buildings, industrial machinery etc.

The sub disciplines of Electrical Engineering are Power Engineering, Electronic engineering, Control Engineering, Microelectronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Signal processing, Computer Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.
