Environmental Engineering Entrance Exam

Environmental engineering has exploded very recently, some 2-3 decades back. The cause of this growth is the rise in the level of pollution of the water, land and atmosphere. Environmental engineers are entrusted with the task of designing, maintaining and constructing systems to control waste products which are produced in rural and urban areas. Environmental engineers are trained in such a fashion so that they can design and develop waste treatment systems and can impose rules for their protection. Environmental engineers are also specialized in water resource management and air or land pollution management.

Entrance exams are conducted by the colleges for the purpose of admissions under this course. The entrance exam is normally of 3 hours duration and contains question from mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Some college’s entrance exam also contains questions to check the environmental awareness of the students. Some entrance exams also have negative marking system i.e. for each wrong answers some marks is deducted from the total score of the students. Hence, it is always advisable to the candidates not to touch the unknown questions.
