Forestry Entrance Exam

Forestry is a much needed course, but there is almost no inclination amongst the students towards this course. The Forestry course is not only the study of the management trees and forests, there is plenty more things in this course. Apart from trees and forest the Forestry course also includes the study of Biology, Genetics, Climatology, economics, Botany, soil science, hydrology and forest management. Hence Forestry is not only a field of education, but it is more of knowledge and art of science.

A forest manager must have a complete working knowledge of all the above mentioned fields, from trees and forest management to botany and genetics. He must possess deep information regarding each and every fields mentioned above. Then only he will be able to understand the condition of a particular forest area very minutely and work according to the situation.

Bachelor of Science in Forestry is a Bachelor’s degree course and is provided by a number of institutes in India. Many of the colleges offer direct admission to the candidates depending on the marks obtained by them in class 12, but there are several other institutes which conducts an entrance exam for taking admissions under this course. For getting admitted in any of these colleges a candidates has to clear the entrance exam.
