Hospital Management Entrance Exam
The service industry has become one of the charming and fastest growing industries throughout the world. This industry when combines with the hospitality industry it reflects more clear and concrete onus. The number of nursing homes and Hospitals are increasing at a very rapid rate. The medical staffs who are working in these nursing homes and Hospitals get very little time to handle the administrative affairs. Moreover, for handling such tasks one requires professional and management skills which need constant upgradation and devotion and for doctors looking into such things will just be wastage of their precious time and nothing else.
Hence there is a need of Hospital Administrator who will look after all the administration related affairs. They look after the planning and control, demography and biostatics, community health and epidemiology, management of the medical staff, management and research in health care and strategic management. A good Hospital Administrator must possess decision making capability and planning for future and he must take the responsibility of the maintenance of the nursing home or Hospital for which he/she is working.
There are galore of colleges which provide Hospital Management courses to the desiring candidates. The admission into these colleges is through an entrance exam which is followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The entrance exam is non-academic and tests the management skills and general awareness of the candidates.
