Information Technology Entrance Exam

Information technology or IT as we better know it as is the driving force of today’s world. More than 80% of the markets in this world are dependent on Information Technology directly or indirectly. This branch of engineering was derived from Computer Science and Engineering, as the latter was itself a very vast branch and it was seen that information technology has so much stuff in it that it can make a branch of its own. Since then this branch of engineering has never looked back and is ready to sweep this world with its presence.

Information Technology generally deals with the use of information systems which is generally based on computers. It is said that Information Technology starts when computer engineering and communication engineering are combined. Information technology manipulates data by storing, deleting, modifying, processing, protecting, converting and transmitting them with the use of specially designed software. Information technology also deals with the security of data and real time systems. The IT professionals are required to perform a myriad number of tasks which can range from making programs to storing databases to designing software to managing accounts to many more. The applications of this branch are never ending.

There are many colleges in India which offers this course to the students. A student has to appear for the entrance exam conducted by these institutes for getting admission.
