Plastic Technology Entrance Exam

Plastic technology has covered a long distance to come to this position when plastic has eclipsed other materials to become an ‘all purpose’ material. From domestic items to packaging, pipes, automobile parts and containers, plastic has over shadowed other materials in the business.  The plastic industries has developed a lot since its beginning 100 years back and is producing nearly 50 different varieties of plastic and in this progress Plastic Engineers and Chemical engineers are playing a major role.

Plastic engineers perform the task of developing plastic of various capacities and types. Chemical engineers job is to develop specific purpose plastic by enhancing certain properties and altering molecular arrangement of the materials. The processes which are involved in Plastic Technology are moulding, compression, fabrication, lamination etc, but the commonly used processes are blow moulding and injection moulding.

There is no dearth of Plastic Technology Colleges in India, but a student has to sit for an entrance exam before getting admission in any of the colleges. Students also need not worry about their job prospects as there is a huge plastic market in India, which covers the fields like Construction, Agriculture, telecommunication, transportation, computers etc.
