Textile Engineering Entrance Exam

Textile Technology or Textile Engineering is the branch of engineering which applies the engineering and scientific principles to control and design all the aspects of textile, fiber, and apparel products, processes and machinery. These include natural as well as man-made materials, health and safety, interaction between machines and materials, recycle of the waste products, pollution control and conservation of energy. In addition to this, textile engineers are trained in plant layout and design, designing and production of textile products and wet process and machine design and improvement.

The courses which are available in Textile Engineering degree programme are Textile Engineering Design, Textile Engineering Quality Improvement, Textile Engineering Systems, Textile Information Systems Design, Mechanics of Fibrous Structure, Polymer Engineering, Fabric Building Mechanisms, Polymeric Biomaterials Engineering, Dynamics of Fabric Production Systems, Dyeing, Textile Applications in Medicine, Textile Composites etc.

The students who are studying Textile Engineering have to take classes of other engineering disciplines which includes Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial and Materials engineering Disciplines.  Students of textile engineering are also taught fundamental courses like Thermodynamics, Industrial Management, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Design, Applied Mechanics and Materials Science.
