AIPVT 2010
Veterinary Council of India is conducting the AIPVT entrance examination for intake of students at the 15% of the total number of seats in the Government Veterinary Colleges across India. AIPVT is being held for students of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course first year of the 2009-2010 sessions. It is a complete full time five year course with a six months internship facility. The Examination is generally held during first week of May each year.
The pattern of the examination is very simple. In AIPVT, the total numbers of questions asked are 200. This comprises of 60 questions each from Physics, chemistry, and Biology.
Sale of Application Forms
Candidates can enroll themselves for the AIPVT examination online at www.vci-india.in and then they have to mail the receipt to the Controller of Examination by speed/ Registered post only.
Offline application is also accepted if they can obtain the brochure by post or by hand from any scheduled bank on payment of appropriate fees. The payment is accepted only in the form of Demand draft. No cheque cash or any other medium is accepted.
Cost of Form
For General candidates (by hand/ online) - Rs 800
For SC/ ST category (by hand/ online) - RS 400
For General candidates (by post) - Rs 850
For SC/ ST category (by post) - RS 450
Important Dates
Date of Form Distribution- January to midweek of February
Date of Exam of AIPVT- first week of May
Eligibility
The first and foremost eligibility criteria to appear in AIPVT are the applicant must be an Indian citizen at least 17 years old as on 31st December the respective year. The candidate must pass his or her 10+2 from any recognized university or board with Physics, chemistry, Biology, Maths and English. The candidate must possess a 50% marks for general category or at least 40 % for SC/St category.
