CET 2010
When you grow up you dream to be an engineer, doctor, lawyer and the list is endless. So this tension goes up a bit when you pass out 12, because you have to give many entrance exams to get into top engineering or medical college. Common Entrance Test (CET) and Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) are an engineering entrance exam held for the students in Karnataka.
But CET is given more importance against COMEDK. KCET exam is divided into two parts; in the first part questions from physics and Chemistry, which you have to complete within hundred fifty minutes, are included and in the second part questions from Mathematics are there which has to be solved in eighty minutes.

The application form can be obtained by the school or colleges of Karnataka in which you have studied. Then it has to be submitted along with a demand draft favoring The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore.

Eligibility criteria
You can apply for engineering or technology entrance exam if you have passed 10+2 or passed Karnataka 2nd PUC by taking subjects like physics and mathematics as compulsory, English should also be among one of the prime subjects. Optional subjects should be Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Electronics or Biology and the candidate must secure 45% in total in optional subjects to apply. Whereas for SC/ST the score must be 40%.The mother tongue for you to apply must be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava.
