DCE 2010
Established in 1940, DCE was created for catering the needs of Indian industries. With the history stretching more than 65 years, they have been offering technical education along with a strong academic staff and modern educational environment. DCE has been strongly identified for their engineering education in the country. DCE has led the way in several reform movements.
Admission for full-time BE (Bachelors in Engineering) degree in DCE is done through CEE (Combined Entrance Examination), which is conducted by DU (University of Delhi). You can also get in through AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination), which is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Out of 570 seats, 85 percent is kept for students passing from high schools in Delhi region. The rest 15 percent seats belong to candidates from other states, who get admitted through AIEEE on a merit rank basis. Again, admissions in PG degree are based on the performance in GATE, which gets followed by an interview.
Sale of Application form
Application forms for Graduate programs are available during the 2nd week of June to last week of the month. Application forms for Post-Graduate programs are available during the last week of April to the second week of May (written application) and last week of May (from DCE Counter). All candidates, applying for Bachelors and PG degree, need to submit an application for obtaining the admission form. The application should be accompanied by a DD of Rs 600/- (inclusive of postal charges) in favor of the Director, Delhi College of Engineering, payable at SBI, Samepur, Delhi. They can even buy the form from the DCE reception by submitting a DD of Rs 500/-. For more details on the application, log on to www.dce.edu.

Eligibility
Candidates passing any of the following exams from a recognized institution and securing 60% or more score in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for admission to BE Courses provided that he/she has passed every subject separately:
• Senior School Certificate Examination (A 12 year course) of CBSE, New Delhi (Central Board of Secondary Educational)
• Indian School Certificate Examination (A 12year course) of ISC, New Delhi (Council for Indian School Certificate Examination)
• B.Sc. (General) Group ‘A’ Final Examination of DU (University of Delhi) or equivalent
• B.Sc. (Honours) Examinations in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics of DU (University of Delhi) with combination of PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) and equal weightage on subsidiary subjects or equivalent examination.
• Any examinations recognized as equivalent by CBSE and DU
SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 10 percent, whereas the Physically Handicapped and CW (Children of War Personnel Disabled & Killed in Action) are given 5 percent of relaxation.
