ICAR 2010

Indian Council of Agricultural Research will held the ICAR entrance exam for filling up the seats of 1st year Bachelor’s degree in the courses of Agriculture, Fisheries Science, Horticulture, Dairy Technology, Sericulture, Home Science, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Food Science & Technology and Agriculture Marketing Banking & Cooperation to fill the seats of State and Central University as well as those of National Dairy Research, Karnal. The first 230 qualified candidates will get a monthly scholarship of Rs 800/-.

The questions of the entrance exams are objective type ones with Paper A consisting Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Agriculture and Paper B consists Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The student can opt for any one as per eligibility.

Application Form

The application forms can be obtained by hand from various selected branches of Syndicate Bank and also from the various counters of ICAR across the Nation. It can also be obtained via post. To get the form and Information Bulletin via post a application must be sent to ‘The Controller of Examination (Education Division), Room 226, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-II, Pusa, New Delhi 110 012′ along with a DD drawn in favor of ‘Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR’ payable at New Delhi with a self addressed envelope (size 12″ x 10″) and without postage.

Surcharge For sale charges from banks- Rs 10
Surcharge for Application via post- Rs 50

Eligibility

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen with in the age limit of 17 to 23 years on the respective year. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PH) in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology or Agriculture in the +2 level. There should be an English paper in the course of class 12.
