ICMR JRF 2010
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) conducts the National Level Examination in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh for finding eligible candidates for the junior research fellowship program. A total of 150 Fellowships would be awarded- 120 Fellowships would be awarded for work in the field of biomedical sciences with emphasis on Life and the rest 30 Fellowships would be awarded for work with emphasis on Social sciences.
Application Form
The application can be down loaded from PGIMER website- http://pgimer.nic.in and posted with requisite fees in demand draft in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh. It is also available from ICMR Office and PGIMER, Chandigarh office by hand and also via post. Application for form via post must accompany a DD of requisite fees and a Self addressed thick envelope of size 8” x10” bearing Postage stamp of Rs.30/-.
Cost
For general/ OBC candidates- Rs.500/-
For SC/ ST/ PH candidates- Rs.300/-

Last Date of Form Submission- Last week of April
Date of Selection exam- Second week of July
Eligibility
To be eligible for the research fellowship candidate must possess M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC Candidates and 50% for the SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates in the respective disciplines of study. The maximum age limit is 28 years with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST/ PH/ female & 3 years for OBC candidates.
