NIPER JEE 2010
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) has been established at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) as a Centre of Excellence which imparts higher education in Pharmaceutical Sciences. NIPER is the first of its kind in India. The institute has also dedicated itself in the research and development of the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The Government of India declared this institute as an Institute of National Importance on 26th June 1998 through a Parliamentary Act. The Institute is also one of the members of Association of Common wealth Universities and Association of Indian Universities. In 2007 4 more NIPERs were established by the Government at Ahmadabad, Hajipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Sale of Application Form
The application forms for the NIPER are available from the 3rd week of March till last week of April from the office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE.
Submission of Application form
The candidates must submit the completely filled in application form by the last week of April.
Cost of application form
1000/- for General candidates
Rs.500/- for SC/ST

Entrance exam date: 2nd week of June
Result declaration: 3rd week of June
Courses offered
The courses offered are Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics, Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmacoinformatics, Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmaceutical Technology (Bulk Drugs), Regulatory Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Analysis etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed class 12 exam or its equivalent form any of the reputed institutes. For master’s degree the candidates must have completed their Graduation with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (for general) and 6.25 (for SC/ST) and 5.75 (for physically challenged).
Examination Pattern
The examination pattern of the NIPER JEE is same as that of any other entrance exam i.e. the question paper contains Multiple Choice Questions.
