Orissa Joint entrance examination is an entrance examination which is conducted in the state of Orissa for various courses and educational institutes. This exam is conducted every year for various courses. The courses offered under the courses are MBBS, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, B.Tech, BArch, BHMCT etc. the examination is also conducted for the lateral entry candidates. They get admission to the various colleges in the third semester of various courses. The candidates are selected on the basis of their merit which is secured on the basis the marks secured in the entrance examination.
The examination is held all over the country in various centers. The candidates can thereby select their centre according to their convenience. This exam is very necessary to be cleared in order to get admission in any college of Orissa. The exam has questions from various fields, such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and Biology. Also questions in this exam are asked from the general aptitude and of general knowledge.
Sale of Application form:
The application forms are available from the third week of February for all those who want to appear for the Orissa JEE. The forms are available in the selective branches of State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank and in selected post office. The forms are given by making a payment of the fixed amount
Submission of the application form:
The last day of the submission of the application form of the Orissa JEE generally lies in the third week of March.
Cost:
The form costs Rs 520. This payment is made on the time of receive of the application form from the designated banks and post offices.
Important dates:
The Orissa JEE is conducted in the last week of May. Generally it is the second last Sunday of May.
Eligibility:
The eligibility for Engineering and its related courses are: the candidates should have passed or appearing 10 + 2 from any educational board, and should have secured 50 per cent of marks in mathematics and in aggregate.
For MBBS related courses, the eligibility is same only the difference is in the subjects. Here the candidates should have secured 50 per cent of marks in Biology and in aggregate.
