Punjab CET 2010

The government of Punjab has appointed Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, to conduct Punjab Combined Entrance Test (Punjab CET) and to take admissions under the various courses in B.Tech, B.Pharma and B.Arch in various Colleges/Institutes/Universities. Punjab CET is the only gateway for the desiring candidates to get admitted in any of the colleges offering the above mentioned courses.

Only 85% of the seats in the general category are meant for the candidates from the state of Punjab. Other 15% seats in various colleges are reserved for the candidates with AIEE score.

Sale of Application Form

The Punjab CET application forms are available in the month of March.

Submission of Application Form

The completely filled in application form must be submitted by the 3rd week of April for the CET (85% category) and by the 3rd week of May (for Architecture course).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be a resident of the state of Punjab. The candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or its equivalent for any of the recognized institutes with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Examination Pattern

The exam paper consists of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and Objective type questions. The exam is divided into three parts; first part Physics, second part Mathematics and third part Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science.

Important Dates

Admit Card downloading: last week of April
Entrance exam: 1st week of May
Result declaration: 3rd week of May
Commencement of counseling: 1st week of June
