PTUCET 2010
Punjab Technical University Combined Entrance Examination (PTUCET) is held by the Punjab Technical University for admitting students into the various degree courses of engineering, architecture, Pharmacy and is the sole criteria of admission into institutes like Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and B. Pharmacy in Colleges affiliated to PTU Jalandhar.
The PTUCET comprises Multiple Choice Questions and Objective type questions. The exam is divided into 3 parts, part 1 physics, part 2 mathematics and part 3 Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science.
Application Form
The application forms of PTUCET along with the information brochure are on sale from April first week at institute campuses and from the selected branches of Allahabad Bank and Punjab National Bank.

Important dates
Date of form Distribution- April first week
Submission of application form: 3rd week of April
Date of Exam- First week of May
Admit card downloading: last week of April
Result declaration: last week of May
Commencement of Counseling: 1st week of June
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for PTUCET the candidate must be a citizen of India and a bonafide resident of the state. Else the candidate must have studied in State for three years or must be a ward of a central or state government employee. The Applicants must possess a higher secondary degree from a recognized board with Physics Chemistry and Maths as major subjects with a minimum of 50% marks.
