RPET (Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test) 2010

Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test is conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Technical Education for admission under the various fields of Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture in various private and government aided colleges in the state of Rajasthan. All the Universities in the state of Rajasthan accept the score of RPET except MNIT Jaipur, BITS Pilani and some other deemed universities. All of these institutes conduct their own entrance exam for the admission in their colleges.

Reservations of seats are also done. 16% seats are reserved for SC, 21% for OBC, 12% for ST, 25% for women, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 5% for the Kashmiri Migrant and 3% for dependents of Ex-Servicemen/Defence Killed.

Sale of Application form

Application forms for the RPET are available from the 1st week of April

Submission of application form

The completely filled in application must be submitted by the last week of April.

Cost of application form

The cost of the application form for RPET is Rs. 700 which also includes the examination fee.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have cleared their class 12 examination or its equivalent from any of the recognized institutes with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and Biology or Chemistry as one of the optional subject. The candidates who are born on or after 1st October 1984 are eligible to appear for the RPET. The SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5 years.

Examination Pattern

The question paper consists of multiple choice type questions from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers. The selected candidates are called for the counseling.
