UPSC CDSE 2010
The Combined Defense service examination is conducted every year by the Union public Service commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted for the service in various fields of Defense. UPSC Combined examination is basically for all those who possess a sentiment of patriotism in their heart and soul and for all those individuals who nurture courage in them and have the feeling to dedicate their lives for the protection and service of the nation. This examination is conducted to give a chance to all those individuals with above sentiments.
The combined defense services Examination is held for the various wings of Defense like Army, Naval Force and Air Force. The examination consists of three papers. The first paper is English, second being general knowledge and third paper is elementary mathematics. The duration of all these examinations are kept 2 hours each and the full marks is also 100 marks each.
Application Form:
Candidates can avail the application form of the Combined Defense Services Examination from the designated post offices or Head post offices all over the country. The candidates should however deposit the form within the last date of the submission, which is usually in the last week of May.
Cost:
The application form along with an information brochure and acknowledgement card is Rs 20 only. This amount is fixed all over the country.
Important Dates:
The examination is conducted in the month of September.
Eligibility:
The candidates should be a citizen of India or should belong to the Indian origin or should have migrated to India from the intention of settling in here permanently. The candidates should also satisfy the age limit fixed for being eligible for the entrance examination for different courses. From the academic view, the candidates should have a degree with mathematics or physics, or an engineering degree, and should have physics and mathematics in the 10 + 2 level.
