Vellore Institute of Technology, very commonly known as VIT by the people, was established in 1984. And from the name itself you can guess that it is situated in Vellore, a beautiful city in mid of two cities Bangalore and Chennai. Its campus covers a large area of 250acres and has everything that would keep you gelled with this institute for long. Not literally as definitely one day you would graduate from this institute.
VIT is considered amongst the top engineering institutes of the country and truly it has lived up to its name. Today, the college has assumed the role of reconstructing, modernizing, and administrating the society. Expertise and efforts of their graduates have given a major contribution in the plans and constructions of the infrastructure in India.
It believes not only in the development of the students in studies but in other activities even and for this Riviera a cultural event is organized by the VIT University once a year. Many competitions take place among the students from different colleges; this helps in the mental growth and development. You can be a part of VIT and enjoy all this by giving an entrance exam held once a year.
Sale of application form
You can get hold of an application form by paying an amount of 750 at the State Bank of India or Indian Bank or Post Offices. You can also ask the form by a post by sending a DD of 750 favoring the respective university.

Application form availability: From mid December to lat February
Last date for submission of complete filled-in application form: Third week of February
Entrance Date: After mid of April
Result declaration: May
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with recognized board by securing 60% marks in PCB or PCM. In case of SC/ST the marks is lowered by 10 % i.e. they have to score 50% in the above mentioned subjects.
