Even in this era of ‘recesionomy’, B.Tech still provides for one of the most promising career option for all aspiring students. Though the global economic downfall has darkened its present, its upcoming bright future drags students all over the country to join this field. Even the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, conducting Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET), officially abbreviated as RPETEAP, for admission in engineering institutes of Rajasthan receives a high feedback every year. This test provides for admission in various institutes of Rajasthan applicable for courses in engineering, architecture, pharmacy and diploma in pharmacy.

The application form can be obtained via post by sending pre-requisite amount of fee to the Coordinator of RPETEAP, or can be collected form RPETEAP office, or some pre-announced official centres after deposition of demanded fee. Only students within the age limit of 17-23, and have passed 10+2, or its equivalent are eligible for sitting for RPET. Depending on the course to be undertaken, student must appear for the respective exams like for BE paper I and II,, for B.Arch paper II and IV etc. as would be mentioned in the application form. Some universities in Rajasthan conduct their own entrance examination.
