Biotechnology Colleges In Karnataka

Karnataka, a populous state in the western coast of India is frequented by people from all over India and abroad due to various purposes- many come for business many for education. Hence Biotechnology field of study which has a vast opportunity in future is being popular in the state nowadays. Hence many institutes of the state of Karnataka offer under graduation and post graduation degrees in Biotechnology. Courses offered in Karnataka are full time 4 year B.Tech degree, 3 year B.Sc degree, M.Sc degree or M.Tech in integrated Biotechnology.

The minimum eligibility required for admission in under graduation courses of Biotechnology is that the applicant must get minimum of 50% marks in +2 levels from any of the recognized boards with Physics, chemistry and Maths. For Master’s degree the candidate must have passed the graduation from any of the recognized Universities with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Agriculture, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology and Biotechnology.  The admissions are generally based on a Joint Entrance exam conducted by the University of the State in the month of April or May. Colleges of Karnataka provide state of art lab facilities for the biotechnology student to acquire a first hand experience.
