Fashion Designing is an art of designing clothes and lifestyle accessories reflecting the cultural and social status of the user. This includes all designs worn or used by an individual to create a statement about the influences of the present time. And it has customers from the film world, industrial and rich families, sportsperson and all influential people. So there are of course a lot of opportunities and money to make if one has some innovativeness in oneself. And Uttar Pradesh being the neighboring state to national capital Delhi and the place of many rich Business families is obviously a good place to study and practice Fashion Designing. This is the reason that Uttar Pradesh is coming up with many Fashion Designing colleges, few of them are par excellent.

There is Undergraduate course as well as post graduate course available in fashion designing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The duration of undergraduate course is generally 4  years while for post graduate course it is 2 and a half year. Students who have passed class 12 from any recognized board are eligible to apply for UG courses and PG programs are open for graduates with degree in B.F.A, Applied Arts, B.Arch. Interior Design and having experience in Textile Design, Textile/Handloom Technology.
