Homeopathy is the discipline of medicine that follows a very ancient method of diagnosis and medication of human illness. It is a long term and very effective method of curing diseases and sometimes considered more effective than Allopath in the long run. So government of Delhi has set up few colleges in the state to train the student in this practice. There are about 2 lakh practitioner and 850 medicine manufacturers and still there is growing need of experts.
The degrees offered in Homeopathy are BHMS (bachelor’s degree), MD (Master’s Degree) and DHMS (Diploma course) in the colleges of Delhi. The duration of the full time courses in BHMS is 5 ½ year while MD is 4 year. The sole criterion of admission to Homeopathy courses in Delhi is the entrance exam held by the University of Delhi. Basic eligibility criteria for BHMS & DHMS is class 12 pass with minimum 50% marks with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology. For MD degree candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree.
The MD candidates can practice and works as teaching assistance during their final course of study. There is a lot of opportunity for a practitioner of Homeopathy and they easily earn a lot.
