Homeopathy Colleges In West Bengal

Homeopathy is the discipline of medicine that follows a very ancient method of diagnosis and medication based on the ayurvedas. It is a long term and very effective method of curing diseases and more effective than Allopath. Hence Government of West Bengal has set up few Homeopathy colleges in different districts of the state.

Admission is done to the homeopathy colleges in West Bengal by a joint entrance examination held by the state university. The degrees offered in Homeopathy are BHMS (bachelor’s degree), MD (Master’s Degree) and DHMS (Diploma course) the colleges in West Bengal. Basic eligibility criteria for BHMS & DHMS is class 12 pass with minimum 50% marks with  subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology. For MD degree candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree.

The duration of the full time courses in BHMS is a 5 ½ year while MD is a 4 year. The students doing their MD course can also act as Teaching assistance as well as they get t o practice under the supervision of their senior. Hence a student obtaining a degree in Homeopathy can get a good income after qualification as there are needs of many homeopathy doctors in the state.
